Hervé Blandinières

viola

What is your professional background?
When I was little, I used to fall asleep lulled by recordings of Brahms’ 2nd symphony and his Variations on a theme by Haydn. It probably impacted my life more than I could have imagined at the time. For many years however, music remained a simple hobby like other manual activities, which made me hesitate for a long time when I had to choose a career. I finally decided to follow the musical path that I had been tracing since I was seven years old, and I entered the music schools of Gennevilliers, Boulogne-Billancourt, then the CNSMDP in Jean Sulem’s class. After a quick stint at the Academy of the Opéra de Paris, I am now the happy violist of the Bellefeuille quartet, and a member of the Orchestre de Paris.
